Your fees cover all products used in class and 7-Day access to Educators in our Student Facebook Group. You will have the opportunity to repeat classes for free for 12 months subject to availability. There are no extra fees.

90% of the tips and tricks taught in this class will be non-brand specific and we will specify where something is specific to the Artistic brand. This class is perfect for students who want to use Artistic Perfect Dip and practice or troubleshoot using it with educators who use it regularly; but is also just as suitable for students who use completely different brands and just want to perfect their overall application skills.

You will be paired up with another student to find and share models with, completing one hand each during practical parts of the course. At the discretion of yourself and your buddy, you may choose to work on each other instead.

Are products included?

All products used during class are provided. Take-Home kits are not included however you are welcome to book in on our Auckland-based Unsupervised Practice Days for $10, giving you all-day access to our products. An Educator is on site for quick questions but not demonstrations - for those you need to book a Supervised Practice Day, which may even be available in your local region.

These Kits are also available to purchase.

We also highly recommend the Artistic Intro, Pink and White and Master Kits as great value for money.

Will I be qualified as a Nail Tech when I finish this course?

Stand Alone Qualification

If you are not working towards the Foundation Certificate in Nail Technology but would like a certificate for this course, you have two options -

  • If you already hold a Nail Tech Qualification - Email learn@monaco.ac.nz with proof of qualification (if we haven't already seen it) and let us know that you've finished this training. Once verified, you will receive recognition.
  • If you do not hold a Nail Tech Qualification - First, you need to have completed The Theory of Nails and Mastering Acrylic 1 and passed the respective Assessments. Next, please email learn@monaco.ac.nz and let us know that you've finished this training. Once verified, you will receive recognition.

Note that if you are completing other Modules, Practice Days can be combined - eg you can do your Acrylic and Hard Gel/PolyGel Assessments on the same day.

Working towards the Foundation Certificate in Nail Technology

The Foundation Certificate in Nail Technology is our most popular and most thorough certification, covering manicures, pedicures, gel polish, hard gel, acrylic, art, and theory. Our most successful Graduates tend to come from the Foundation Certificate with many running their own businesses and others working for well known salons such as Leah Light Nails and Beauty.

If you wish, you can go on to complete (listed in recommended order) -

  1. The Theory of Nails Online
  2. Manicures and Pedicures
  3. Dipping Systems for Beginners
  4. Mastering Acrylic Application 1
  5. Mastering Hard Gel Application
