Why did you become a Nail Artist?
Originally I simply wanted to add to my services as a makeup artist, but since I have an artistic background with a Bachelor of Visual Arts, as soon as I had a taste of nail art I was hooked. Now the majority of the work I do is Nails! Love it.
What’s your absolute favourite Nail Service to provide?
Gel polish with full nail art!
What makes you different to everyone else?
Perhaps the type of art that I do. I think I’ve developed my own style over time.
What do you think is a higher priority – price, quality or hygiene?
Hygiene is hugely important in this industry! Quality comes with good hygiene, products and skills. Then price.
Who is your biggest influence in the industry?
Fashion, other inspirational talented colleagues and artists on social media and my clients :)
Which is your favourite Nail Art look to do?
Anything with line work and I love a bit of abstract art.
How would you describe your business/salon?
Stylish and creative, but also comfortable and inviting.
If your business/salon was a city, which city would it be?
Los Angeles, city chic, arty, beachy bursts of colour, classy celebrity service & offering loads of variety!
If your business/salon was a song or a band, which would it be?
Shapeshifter, because my business is nz made, as the name suggests my style is constantly improving, offering variety and evolving and I put on a pretty good live (hand painting) show ;)
Puppies or Kittens?
Waffles or Pancakes?
