I always thought and questioned and wondered how this giveaway actually works. i get scared when it comes to a taking risk like that to be honest. but as you mentioned above in the example of a a mobile salon. the last thing you mentioned “This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and Facebook can’t be held liable for anything related to this promotion”, looks like this is very important of all to mention in the rules while creating this giveaway right? is this so for FB to know that this is nothing to do with FB terms and conditions? will this help FB or the viewers to not to complain about the one who doing a Giveaway. i just realised that Shyane did a giveaway few weeks ago and had mentioned something on these lines. i need to go back and check her post again to understand.

so before getting on this i have to sort out a gift hamper and get in touch with other businesses to add value to my hamper i guess. also will get to know new business owners.

You have to meet Facebook’s Terms and Conditions for Giveaways to avoid them taking the post (or your whole page) down, and the T&Cs currently require you to use the sentence you quoted above.

If you get other businesses to add to the hamper, you can run the competition together and get them to promote it too 🙂
