This Post Has 14 Questions

  1. What are three things you will do in future because of what you’ve learned in this chapter?

    1. Price list! Update and decide how I want to display it!!

    2. Set up a professional website – no more hotmail.com!

    3. Research seperate mobile phone for my business for future use (when I’m super successful haha)

Try and stick to 3 as this will be much more achievable than 10 or 20, and achievement breeds motivation, which will get you further than a long To Do List ever will.

What are three things that you hadn’t considered?

    1. The downfalls to using my personal mobile – I never really thought about it that much, it was just easy to use it.

    2. Business cards and how effective they really are.

    3. Professional email addresses and the use of websites – How it sets the bar for professionalism

What are three things that you were already considering or going to do?

    1. Updating my biz cards with my new logo (literally got 250 from vistaprint and how they are outdated!)

    2. Updating my price list at ‘some stage’?

    3.

What are three things you will never forget?

    2. How important your email address is (no more hotmail/gmail)

    3. Business cards and price list – how important they are/aren’t and how to use them effectively

What advice would you give to a newbie based on what you learned in this Module?

    1. Take it one step at a time – don’t try to fix it all at once.

      Great advice!!

  2. I’m boring and none of this was really new to me after already doing all the salon success courses
But advice for a newbie for this module would be to take your time. You do not have to rush to get your business cards etc done all within a week. It takes a lot of time to really perfect what you want. Especially for your website! If you aren’t good at the graphic design stuff then definitely hire someone to do it for you. It will save you a lot of headaches and the feeling of wanting to throw your laptop across the room hahaha

    1. Admin bar avatar

Boring is ok haha, I knew this section would be old hat for some people but super necessary groundwork for newbies 🙂

What are three things you will do in future because of what you’ve learned in this chapter?

What are three things that you were already considering or going to do?

    1. Everything else. It was just a matter of refining it my vibe. I have a graphic design background too. Takes me aaaaaages because I don’t do it often but I know design principles and can use all the fancy programs so I was kind of on top of all this stuff anyway. But it’s awesome to have a group to bounce ideas off and get outside perspective from! I tend to get carried away…. and carried away from my vibe by going down some weird path

What are three things you will never forget?

    1. How important a website is

    2. How important a professional email address is

What advice would you give to a newbie based on what you learned in this Module?

    1. A professional website and professional branding is so important. If you don’t know how to do it yourself invest in paying someone else to. It literally tells people who you are and why they should come to you.

    1. Admin bar avatar

      Awesome 🙂

This has helped me to get things done one at a time without stressing myself out, a big thank you to Penny for drilling this thing in my mind to go slow and steady and appreciate the achievement of what I have done till now.

    1. Admin bar avatar

I’m so happy that that advice has stuck with you and now you’re passing it on <3

What advice would you give to a newbie based on what you learned in this Module?
    1. Take it slow & focus on what’s important. I was that person who rushed into a name, logo & business cards etc before I even had a client. Now I want to change most of it! Wait until you get started & figure out what kind of avatar you are wanting to attract, get a feel for your vibe etc then look into logo design etc

    1. Admin bar avatar

      Perfection! Take that, Mavis hahaha

  7. Admin bar avatar

What are three things you will do in future because of what you’ve learned in this chapter?

    1. Finally get a logo on my apron so it’s more of a uniform related to my business rather than just an apron

    2. I think I would like to display a framed price list somewhere in my salon. I think that would look nice and be practical too.

    3. Check my TLL voicemail actually says what I think it says haha

Try and stick to 3 as this will be much more achievable than 10 or 20, and achievement breeds motivation, which will get you further than a long To Do List ever will.

What are three things that you hadn’t considered?

    1. How NOT important the pretty fancy things like business cards and price lists are

    2. First we get the clients, then we get the pretty things, not the other way around!!

    3. That any online interaction I have (and we can’t take these back) might represent my business, even if it is from my personal page.

What are three things that you were already considering or going to do?

    1. The logo on the apron (but now I actually will make it happen)

    2. Making my website nicer/upgrading & make sure it has up to date pictures etc

    1. Get a website/info out there, don’t stress if it isn’t perfect straight off the bat, just get it out there.

    2. I am a walking representation of my business

    3. Price lists and business cards do not need to come first, they aren’t top of the to do list

What advice would you give to a newbie based on what you learned in this Module?

    1. Don’t rush into making business cards/logo etc, you’ll more than likely want to change down the track. Don’t rush things behind the scenes and just get yourself out there attracting those avatar clients!

    1. Admin bar avatar

“First we get the clients, then we get the pretty things” <3 <3
