Winter is often a quieter time for both salons and training, which gives us the opportunity to do something a little different.
For one special seasonal intake, you can complete our Natural Nail Specialist qualification through live online Saturday morning lessons, supported by more than 35 hours of pre-recorded education.
It is the perfect opportunity to use the quieter winter months to learn, practise and build your confidence, so you are ready to step into the busy summer season with professional skills and a recognised qualification.
The Natural Nail Specialist: Winter Edition is $499. This is a small group intake, and a minimum of six students is required for the class to proceed.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners with no previous experience to qualified Nail Techs wanting to refresh their knowledge or strengthen their natural nail skills.
You do not need to already be working in the nail industry, you just need an interest in nails, a willingness to learn and access to professional-only products for your practical work.
What will you learn?
The Natural Nail Specialist Course includes four complete Monaco Nail Academy modules:
Together, these modules will give you the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely and confidently offer professional natural nail services.
Your lesson schedule
Your live online lessons will be held on Saturday mornings from 9am to 1pm, beginning Saturday 19 September.
Lessons will run weekly for four weeks, giving you a total of 16 hours of live group education with a Monaco Mentor.
During your live lessons, you will be able to:
- Practise alongside an experienced Mentor
- Ask questions as they come up
- Receive personalised feedback
- Build confidence before completing your assessments
- Learn alongside a small group of other students
You will also receive immediate access to the complete pre-recorded course content, so you can begin learning before the first live lesson.
Your course fees include
- 16 hours of live online lessons
You will attend four Saturday morning group lessons with an experienced Monaco Mentor.
The lessons are held completely online, so you can participate from your home or salon. - More than 35 hours of pre-recorded education
You will receive access to more than 35 hours of detailed theory, demonstrations and practical education.
Our demonstrations show each step from multiple angles and include close-up footage, allowing you to pause, rewind and rewatch whenever you need to.
You are not expected to memorise everything the first time you watch it. That is one of the benefits of online learning.
You can revisit the lessons throughout your training and return to them later when you are working with real clients. - Assessments and certification
Your enrolment includes the assessments required to complete the Natural Nail Specialist qualification.
You will receive unlimited assessment attempts, allowing you to keep learning and improving without the pressure of having to pass everything on your first attempt. - Mentor and community support
You will have access to Monaco’s online community and Facebook group chats, where you can ask questions, connect with other students and receive support from our education team.
Our Mentors can also provide personalised explanations and video responses when you need extra help. - A clear path into further training
The four modules included in the Natural Nail Specialist Course also count towards Monaco Nail Academy’s full Foundation Certificate in Nail Technology.
Should you decide to continue your education later, you can complete the remaining eight modules without repeating the modules you have already passed.

All products used during lessons and assessments must be professional-only nail products.

Designed around real life
The Winter Edition has been created for people who need training to fit around work, children, family and other responsibilities. Your live lessons are held on Saturday mornings, while your pre-recorded content can be completed at the times that work best for you. You will receive access to the course as soon as you enrol, giving you time to begin watching the theory and demonstrations before the first live lesson.
How does it work?
Once you enrol, you will receive immediate access to the pre-recorded course content. You can begin working through the videos at your own pace, learning the theory and becoming familiar with the practical techniques before your live lessons begin.
Your live lessons start on Saturday 19 September and run for four consecutive Saturdays. During these sessions, you will practise what you have learned, ask questions and receive personalised feedback from your Mentor. It is like having a coach in your corner, helping you build your skills and confidence as you progress.

- What happens if I miss a live lesson?
Because this is a special four-week intake, we strongly recommend attending each scheduled live lesson. We understand that unexpected situations can arise. Should you need to miss a lesson, you can book a private catch-up session with a Mentor for $49 per hour. You will still have access to the pre-recorded course content to help you prepare, practise and revise. - Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Once you have completed the course requirements and passed your assessments, you will receive your Natural Nail Specialist Certificate. As long as you pass your assessments, full participation in your intake will take care of the remaining course criteria. - Is a payment plan available?
Payment plans are not available for the Natural Nail Specialist: Winter Edition. The full course fee is $499, payable at enrolment. Afterpay is available at checkout. - Will the course definitely proceed?
A minimum of six students is required for the Winter Edition to proceed. Should the minimum number not be reached, you will be given the option to transfer your payment to another Monaco Nail Academy course or receive a full refund.
