Mariah Burton-Burn is the owner of Wished for Nails and a Monaco Accredited Training Provider based in Red Beach, Auckland.
Mariah began her nail journey with Monaco in 2017, before going on to mentor students part-time while also working in early childhood education. That experience gave her a strong foundation not only in nails, but in supporting people as they learn, build confidence and develop new skills.
Today, Mariah is fully self-employed, splitting her time between Wished for Nails and her dog boarding and pack-walking business. As a nail tech, she works across a wide range of systems and services, from natural nail care and structured gel through to acrylic, hard gel, extensions and nail art.
Having built her own path from student to educator and business owner, Mariah understands that there’s no single “right” way to create a career in the nail industry. She brings a warm, practical and encouraging approach to training, helping students build solid skills and the confidence to make nails work around the life they want to create.
