    3. Get your base coat to be as perfect as possible as your colour will be attracted to the base coat.

What advice would you give to a newbie starting this Module?

    1. Practice as much as you can and if something does not work right for you try a different method until you find something that works for you. I am currently in the process of changing up my application methods to see if it will make a difference to my soak of time.

    1. Great work Mandira – remember, the thickness of your base coat is the biggest thing that will affect your soak off time. Trying to get the application super thin should really help!

  25. What are three things you’ve absolutely nailed in this Module?

    1. Application with clean lines around the cuticle area

    2.removal without damaging my nails

    3.prep steps are memorized now

What are three things you really need to continue to work on?
1.a cleaner capping without have a drip under the nail

2.fast things fast! Getting better though

3.more practice on the French; they’re still uneven and not super sharp at the corner, but the smile line is crisper than it was

What are three things that really surprised you?

    1. Working with salon quality gel compared to “home use”; there’s a bit of an odour and they seem to be runnier than the home use ones, which is good though as it’s easier to get thinner coats.

    2. Dry brushing the base; Id never seen that before but I’m sure that it’s helping with my polish application

3.using correction gel and buffing for a matte finish! Smart!

What are three things you will never forget?

    1. Thinner coats = easier removal and more surety around curing

2.that you can’t tell gel is cured just from touching it

3.if it’s not perfect, clean it off and do it again

What advice would you give to a newbie starting this Module?

1thin coats are they key to almost everything!

    1. Hey Caroline! Remember, speed comes with practise – so if you practise being good, over time you will become fast and good! If you only practise being fast, you will only be fast 🙂
However, fast things fast is great to remind us when we are spending too long on things we don’t get any benefit out of
