Course Info

  • The science behind Dipping Systems such as SNS and Artistic Perfect Dip
  • How to apply a Dip Overlay
  • How to maintain Dip Manicures
  • How to remove Dip
  • How to extend the natural nail with Dip
  • How to create an ombre effect with Dip

Dipping systems are most suited for people that find Gel Polish alone isn’t strong enough to prevent breakages, layering resin and powder to create durable nails without the need for UV curing.

You’re probably most familiar with the brand SNS but this IS just a brand name for ONE Dip System. We teach with Artistic Perfect Dip but all of our courses are brand-neutral and you can use whatever you like.

Fun fact – lots of people think Dipping is a new exciting innovation but it’s actually been around since the 80s. Dip evolved from earlier techniques involving dipping nails into acrylic powders mixed with adhesive resins, providing a simpler and quicker method for nail enhancements. It disappeared into oblivion with the evolution of hard gel before coming back in all its glory in the age of busy culture.

The Pros: Dipping systems offer a quick application process and deliver durable, long-lasting results without the need for UV curing. They are a popular request for clients (who often refer to them as SNS). This is because their wide availability in high-volume mall salons has made them well known, and the concept of dipping a finger straight into a pot of powder has made them a talking point.

The Cons: Despite their efficiency, dipping systems can be limited in flexibility compared to gel or acrylic enhancements, becoming brittle over time. The removal process takes longer than that of gel products and rushing this can cause damage to the natural nail.

Our courses are product-neutral, meaning you can use any brand you like as long as it's professional-only*

  • You CAN buy a Starter Kit from Monaco with primarily Artistic Nail Design products.
  • You can also get kits from other reputable distributors, that match our courses perfectly! Specific links coming soon.
  • Or you can view our Recommended Kit List and source your own products.

*'Professional-only means that where a pro-only version of a product is available, you are asked to supply proof of qualification or enrolment to be able to purchase the product. With something like cuticle oil or hand cream, there's no such  thing as a pro-only cuticle oil, so you can use any. But with products such as gel and acrylic, high quality, pro-only systems do exist and the safety standards associated with these products are as important part of providing a safe, professional service.

FAQS

Then you learn, and you try again, and you ask for help, and you keep going.

There's a misconception that you need to be good before you join a lesson but this is definitely false! Your live lessons are where, after watching the pre-recorded demonstrations, a Mentor can help you in real-time. The Mentor guides you through practicing for the first time - you're not supposed to be a master.

Although there is no assessment for Dipping Systems - At Monaco you can also re-sit all Assessments and rewatch all pre-recorded content for the duration of your 12-month Study Period

It's a common misconception that our online courses are just pre-recorded videos, however they actually include in depth live lessons done via Zoom.

Your Mentor can see your desk as you work. You can see their desk incase they need to demonstrate something for you.

You can watch a recording of a real, live lesson here.

We genuinely find that students get better results from online training as they can see closer and across multiple angles, even recording their lessons to rewatch.
