How do we avoid a heat spike while flash curing? (Loving the course so far btw!)
Glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
My advice would be that if a client is still experiencing significant heat spiking with a flash cure, you might want to consider working in thinner layers. Also, make sure you are using the correct lamp for the BIAB you are using.
Product temperature can also play a big part here, as the colder the product is, the slower the molecules are moving – which will mean the cure is slower once exposed to UV. You could try cooling the BIAB down on an ice pack, or popping it in the fridge, and also making sure the room temperature is cooler.
Hope this helps!
