Penny Lawler is the owner of Monaco Nail Academy.

Having initially trained in 2007, she has gone on to –

• Work internationally with multiple award winning Nail Techs
• Hold 19 first and second-place awards from 21 competition attempts
• Work as a Curtain Judge for the NZ Nail Comps
• Work on nails for music videos by Ciara, Enrique Iglesias, Maya Vanya, Annah Mac and other NZ Artists
• Work with TVNZ and Mediaworks for productions such as The Shopping Channel, Dancing with the Stars and Woman’s Day Magazine

Penny lives in Tairua on the Coromandel Peninsula and is happy to invite you into her home-based studio for one-on-one training.

You have 3 options –

• If you enrolled in a course before September 2023, your course fees already include group training online with one of our Mentors. You can upgrade to have this course mentored by Penny, in person, for $499 per day. This is the default option when you click Enrol.
• If you enrolled in a course after September 2023, your course requires you to book your lessons as you go. You can do so with one of our other wonderful Mentors for $49/hour or $349 for an 8-hour day. You can choose to book these lessons with Penny instead for $649 per day. You need to add this under ‘Optional Add Ons’ before clicking Enrol.
• If you have already completed a course, either with Monaco or another training provider, and would like additional, customised Mentoring with Penny, you can book this for $649 per day. You need to add this under ‘Optional Add Ons’ before clicking Enrol.

You are welcome to book up to 5 consecutive days with Penny.

During your time with Penny –

• You will have her 100% undivided attention from 9am-6pm with the exception of up to an hour worth of breaks (these breaks will depend on lesson and model structure)
• You have the option of having your session recorded and shared with you via a cloud drive – just ask at the start of the day
• Lunch will be provided – there is a bakery across the road that makes great coffee and you will be provided a tab for the day
• All products used during training will be provided
• Models can be sourced and provided for you

As long as you are ok with three dogs that don’t understand personal space, you are also welcome to utilise the small sleepout on Penny’s property. Alternatively, we highly recommend the cabins at the Tairua Campground.

You can use your time with Penny for –

• Completing Modules offered by Monaco – Penny can customise the schedule to make the most of your time and get as many lessons completed as possible without compromising the quality of your education
• Custom Mentoring on any topic – Gel, Dip, BIAB, Acrylic, Hard Gel, Polygel, IBX, Soft Gel Extensions
• Competition or exam prep
• Business Mentoring – Business plans, the How to Set Your Prices calculator, Marketing/Editorial Calendars, Batching Content or any other topic
• Nail Art training – fine lines, characters, pigment, or any other topic. Feel free to bring designs with you that can be used to structure your time.
