Sophie Tabakas developed a passion for makeup artistry in her years as a young dancer. Initially she began doing makeup for small photoshoots, friends, family, weddings and special occasions.

She later completed a certificate at Auckland’s top Makeup institute, The Makeup School in Ponsonby, to further her knowledge.

In 2012, Sophie returned to Auckland, after spending a year working as a makeup artist in Hollywood, California. She was lucky to have worked on fashion shows, with highly regarded photographers, television at Paramount Studios, with various Los Angeles clothing designers and music artists.

Due to her interest in beauty therapy and cosmetics, Sophie attended Los Angeles Beauty College; and later gained her Beauty Therapy License with the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.

Naturally, she has added another feather to her bow and is now offering nail services.

Sophie now resides in Auckland, New Zealand, specialising in weddings, special occasion makeup and school balls.
