Nail Art Inspiration for Spring

A new season is a fresh start and none is so fresh as SPRING! Today in Auckland the weather isn’t soooo great BUT the last few days were gorgeous and have me super hyped for Summer. I have clients tonight and I’ll definitely be trying to get them into some Spring vibes.

  1. Toni from TLC Nails (and Monaco Educator extraordinaire) rocked this neon set using Isopropyl Alcohol to turn our Neon Pigments into an eye catching marble. I’d recommend using Bride as the base to make those colours pop.

2. Erin from Serene Nail Studio has only recently finished her training but I’m super inspired by her new-student zest for trying new things! You could recreate this look either with Acrylic (mixing Soft White and Clear to create a milky powder) or Hard Gel (mixing white and clear for the same effect) and layering dried flowers from a craft store between the layers.

3. Speaking of inspiration, Pukekohe #MonacoGrad Sarah has such high standards for her work and it really shows in everything she does. I’d use a colour from the recent Sheerly Devoted collection for the base in this case.

4. Millie from Shape of Elegance in Christchurch did a stellar job of clean white application on this set, and I think the crisp sharp look of white nails is perfect to pump up the energy for Spring. If recreating this look I’d recommend Bride, Sultry and Love, Marriage Prenup, with art painted in Be Creative Black Acrylic Paint with the Orange Brush.

5. I’m a massive fan of gradients across a full set and this one reminds me of wildflower fields so it’s spot on for Spring. Try Artistic Colour Gloss in Pin Up Purple, Rhythm, Always Right and Graceful to achieve this set.

6. Building on those pastels, chuck em into a Cubism-inspired set like this. I’d add Wild and Mani of my Dreams to the stash of colours from the set above and use Be Creative Acrylic Paint and the Orange Brush to line them out.

7. If you’re not a fan of the stark white I mentioned before, what about this set? Cure two coats of Bride, apply a No-Wipe Top Coat and cure that too. Rub a pigment like XOXO or Lilac Lounge Lizard into the surface and then top coat again with Glossing Gel.

8. Come on guys, French isn’t that bad. And actually, when you combine it with a Coffin Nail, it’s really pretty and elegant. I kind of can’t wait for the French trend to come back.

9. Lucky last, Paint a coat of Bride and cure it. Then mix up some custom pigments – Lilac Lounge Lizard with Flip Flops, Gecko Green with Cut Grass, and Ocean with Blue Dragon. Press them haphazardly into the inhibition layer of the Colour Gloss and then top coat.
