At Monaco Nail Academy, we understand that learning disabilities come in many forms, and everyone learns differently. That’s why our courses are designed with input from neurodivergent individuals and graduates with learning disabilities, including but not limited to dyslexia. We’re committed to providing an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
Practical Assessments: Relaxed and Real-World
Most of our assessments are practical and designed to mimic real-world salon scenarios. You’ll chat with your client while performing a full service, creating a relaxed atmosphere that feels just like working in a salon. It’s all about putting your skills to the test in a familiar, hands-on setting.
Theory Assessments: Flexible and Comfortable
For the Theory Assessment, you’ll work online, allowing you to complete it in the comfort of your own home. While there is a time limit, you can reattempt the assessment every 12 hours if needed.
If the online format feels overwhelming, you can opt to submit your Theory Assessment orally. In this option, an Educator will ask you questions in a conversational manner, much like discussing with a client seeking advice. This approach lets you respond naturally, and your Educator will record your score as you go. Additionally, you can choose to take the Assessment in a ‘closed book’ manner, removing the time pressure altogether.

- Tailored Course Design: Our course materials and assessments are crafted with neurodivergent individuals and those with learning disabilities in mind. We strive to make learning as accessible and manageable as possible.
- Community Support: You’re never alone! Our vibrant community, including past and present students, is here to support you. Engage with others who share similar experiences and receive the encouragement and advice you need.
- One-on-One Mentoring: Need extra help? You can book one-on-one sessions with a mentor who will guide you through the assessment process. They’ll provide personalised support to ensure you grasp the material and feel confident in your abilities.
- Inclusive Language: We are committed to using inclusive and respectful language throughout our courses and communications. We believe in acknowledging disabilities to make sure everyone feels welcomed and supported in our community.
